The flow inside the machine can be understood as follows: Water is drawn from the pit by the pump and directed into the system through valve 1, labeled "WATER IN." When the tank becomes pressurized, water is then sent to the factory via valve 3, labeled "WATER OUT." During filter press cycles, valve 2, labeled “SLUDGE OUT,” opens to allow the sludge water from the bottom of the system to be sent to the filters, where the mud is removed. The residual water from both the filtering process and the factory is collected back at the pit, allowing the pump to continue the recycling cycle. Valve 4, labeled “CLEAN SLUDGE,” is typically kept closed. In the illustration below, you’ll see the normal operational status: all manual valves are open, except the manual valve above valve 2, “SLUDGE OUT,” which should be partially closed to prevent the filters from receiving too much water and potentially overflowing.
In case the system gets clogged there are some things you can try to get the water flowing again.
The first thing to try is to use the cleanse tank function.
Turn these outputs ON in manual MODE
Make sure some water is coming out to the factory to avoid overloading the system.
Keep all manual valves OPENED; you can open the manual valve above 2 “SLUDGE OUT” completely to ensure good flow from the tank.
The "Cleanse Tank" function works by directing water from the pump straight to the bottom of the system, aiming to flush out any clogs that may have formed there. If you notice an increase in the water pressure from valve 3, labeled "WATER OUT," it indicates that the clog at the bottom of the tank has likely been cleared.
If "Cleanse Tank" doesn't fix the clog, try "Cleanse Filter Press."
Turn these outputs ON in manual MODE:
Make sure some water is coming out to the factory, to avoid overloading the system.
The "Cleanse Filter P." function directs the water pumped into the system straight to the filter press. If necessary, you can close the manual valve at the bottom of the tank to increase the pump’s pressure. However, because this action puts significant stress on the pump, do not run "Cleanse Filter P." more than a couple of times with the manual valve closed. If the clog isn’t cleared after these attempts, the system will need to be manually cleared by opening up the pipes and washing them out.
To check that the cleaning was sucessfull, open valve 2 “SLUDGE OUT” and water should come to the filter press.
Do not forget to open up the manual valve above valve 2 “SLUDGE OUT” to restore proper flow to the filter press
