Problem: BK X1 or X2 drive alarm.
Check:
- First check error code on servo driver digital display.
- If error is Err 100 the X motor went in overload, this most often is cause by a collision with the hard limit stopper, or a mechanical problem, if error is not Err 100 please consult driver manual.
- To reset the alarm find breaker 5Q3, flip it off for more than ten seconds and then flip it back on.
- Make false home without sensor to check motor and gearbox are in good conditions, to do this open /home/aitek/CNC/configs/SAW_4X_MESA/CNC.ini on [JOINT_0] section change HOME_SEARCH_VEL to #HOME_SEARCH_VEL and HOME_LATCH_VEL to #HOME_LATCH_VEL, also do this change for the last joint [JOINT_4] for BK4,[JOINT_5] for BK5, and [JOINT_6] for BK2020 and BK5+V, save the file and restart CNC application, then home and move, if you are not able to move there something blocking the machine mechanically, if you are able to move, the problem is in the homing sequence, restore parameters as before in the CNC.ini file, save, restart CNC application.
- Check sensors, X sensors are located under the columns, X1 under the screen, and X2 on the opposite side, sensors are magnetic and have a red light in the back that will light up when a metallic object is in front of the tip of the sensor, Test the X sensors function properly by using a metallic object to make the light go on, if the CNC application is in on state, when you have a metallic object in front of the sensor, an error joint 0 on limit switch error or similar should pop up and the program will go in the off state.
- If the sensors seem to function properly, you need to take off the X bellows, and have a look trough the side at how the sensor reads the metallic plate on the X rail while homing, most probably the sensor is too far and it’s not reading the plate properly, adjust the distance between the sensor and the metallic plate, one turn of the sensor equals 1mm turn the sensor to adjust the distance to about 1mm from sensor to plate, and then home the machine again to check the situation.
- If the sensor doesn’t read properly replace the sensor, when you replace the sensor make sure you position it properly, the sensor reads on a metallic plate on the X rail, the sensor has only 1~2 mm of range from the tip.
